Andrew Turner

Principal Scientist

Andrew works with the Accentus Medical team as their Principal Scientist.

In this role, Andrew has been working on the development of wear-resistant biocidal orthopaedic coatings and is a co-inventor of the Agluna™ process.

Andrew is a highly published scientist including 16 Journal papers and 50 published conference presentations.  He has also contributed to 15 books and 60 patent applications.

Andrew has spent a large proportion of his career with the UK Atomic Energy Authority, AEA Technology and Accentus, where he expanded his research and experience through fundamental and process research and development, technical innovation, process and product engineering, technology transfer and management roles that mainly focused on surface and process chemistry, and electrochemistry.
